        he Community Business Development Corporations(CBDCs) are a network of autonomous, not-for-profit companies working to meet the needs of small business.

        The CBDCs assist in the creation of small business, and in the expansion and modernization of existing businesses, by providing financial and technical services to entrepreneurs.

        There are 13 CBDCs in Nova Scotia, each dedicated to the development of small business and job creation in their communities. They serve rural Nova Scotia in 19 locations.

CBDC Goal

        "Our goal at CDC is to stimulate further growth in as many business sectors as possible by assisting small business start-ups and expansions to increase sustainable employment in all areas of Cumberland County."
